Lekker — Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Lekker mobile application ("Lekker", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lekker. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You register using your phone number. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Notify us immediately at hello@joinlekker.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not impersonate others, create accounts for others without permission, or use Lekker for any unlawful purpose.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of ratings, reviews, and photos you post. By posting content, you grant Lekker a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it to other users within the app. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate anyone else's rights.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

4. SMS Messaging Program

By entering your phone number and tapping "Continue" in the Lekker app, you consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code from Lekker. This consent is not a condition of using Lekker beyond the authentication step itself (i.e., the OTP is the authentication mechanism, not a separate marketing program).

To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message we send. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS messages. To re-enable SMS, re-enter your phone number in the app.

To request help, reply HELP. We will respond with support contact information.

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise compromise the app
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable law

6. Third-Party Services

Lekker uses third-party services including Google Places API (for restaurant data) and Open Food Facts (for food product data). Your use of features powered by these services is also subject to their respective terms.

7. Disclaimers

Lekker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Restaurant and food data is provided by third parties and may not always be accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lekker and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
